Who: All ECI publishers and guests, plus some local food writers.

What: A welcome reception before supper at your choice of NYC hotspots
Where: Jimmy's #4343 East 7th St. btwn 2nd and 3rd Ave.
When: Wedneday, May 7th, 5-7pm
Why:  Because y'all are awesome and we're all eager to see each other.
HowBy Subway: Take the 6 to Astor Place, or R/W to 8th St., or F to 2nd Ave.


When: Wednesday, May 7 from 7-8pm
What:  At 7pm, guests will be greeted with a beer and lead on a tour of the brewery space, including the history of Brooklyn Brewery and the beer making process. Upon the tour’s completion, guests may return to the bar to ask questions and sample additional beer until last call at 7:40pm with guests exiting the brewery by 8pm.  
Where: The Brooklyn Brewery is located at 79 North 11th St in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (11249) between Berry and Wythe. The most convenient subway trains to the brewery are the L train (Bedford Ave stop) or the G train (Nassau stop).  Map here.
Please note - All guests will be asked to show valid ID.  All guests MUST wear closed toe (non-high heel) shoes to be able to participate on the brewery tour.
When: Wednesday, May 7 at 1:30pm
What:  The 90-minute tour will include their farm operations (animal, vegetable, mineral) as well as Blue Hill at Stone Barns, their partner restaurant.   If the group is larger than 30 people, they will split the group into two smaller groups to walk around.

Where: Stone Barns Center is located approximately 45 minutes outside of the city at 630 Bedford Rd in Pocantico Hills, NY.  There is a Metro-North commuter train to the Center that departs from Grand Central Station (located at 42nd St and Park Ave, map here) on a regular basis throughout the day.  For scheduling and additional train information, visit this website.  Tickets can be purchased via ticket windows or machines at Grand Central Station.  Please note, it is the line that runs WEST of the Hudson river and the station stop is Tarrytown.  The train costs approximately $19.50 round trip.  
There are taxis available at the station to the Center and cost approximately $10-12 for a ride to the Center.  The following are local taxi companies who can be contacted in advance for arranging transportation or a large group - United Taxi: 914-631-2920, Elegant: 914-332-0550, McCarthy Taxi: 914-631-8294/8700 and Adams Taxi: 914-747-0999.
Please note - Plan to meet outside the Farm Store/Visitor Center.They should plan to ask a staff member there to call Erica Helms when they arrive.
