Food News: Brexit to increase food prices

Now that Brexit is a reality, the UK is facing an overall rise in food prices as early as this year – as much as 3%.

The New York Times profiled the future of Cuba’s agriculture, and how they’re trying to hold on to their traditional, organic, sustainable food production system as foreign investment promises to flood the country.

Recall Alert! Bolthouse Farms protein drinks have been recalled due to spoilage. It affects Protein PLUS shakes with “best by” dates between June 20 and September 18.

New to Netflix: Season 1 of A Cook Abroad. Chefs travel around the world to sample national, iconic dishes, and learn to cook like a local.

Barnes & Noble is getting into the restaurant business, even selling beer and wine. The first spots open in New York, Minnesota, California, and Virginia. Here’s hoping they source some great local ingredients!
