The Epilepsy Foundation of Indiana provides education and support to those effected by Epilepsy. They were founded 8 years ago to create support groups and educational forums for those who need information, education and strength to understand Epilepsy and how to endure the day to day issues with this disease. The Camp for Courageous Kids is a camp in Kentucky that has a dedicated weekend for families with Epilepsy. The Epilepsy Foundation is able to send up to 17 families to this camp with a $5,000 grant. We have helped to raise this grant over the last three years to send families and Edible Indy has committed to assist with this again this year. The camp has dedicated medical staff and each child with epilepsy has their own dedicated counselor. The camp has horseback riding, fishing, archery, games, crafts, bowling, swimming and more to help the families be stress free. They encourage and evening out with the adults where every child is watched by a group of counselors. It is a chance for the families to be a normal family for one weekend.
